Lauren’s love for dancing started at the age of 3. Whilst training she studied a number of genres including Classical Ballet, Jazz, Streetdance, Ballroom, Tap, Contemporary and much more. At the Age of 11 I was accepted into The Urdang Academy Associates programme in London. At 14 she then went on to The British Ballet Organisation, Jazz scholarship programme. Finally finishing training at Northern Ballet school in Manchester.

Lauren graduated with a level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance from Trinity College London. She was then lucky enough to accept a professional dance contract with Poet Theatricals (Production company for Celebrity Cruises). Lauren continued to work professionally travelling the world and doing what she loved to do.

She then gained teaching qualifications with the ISTD (DDE) and IDTA (AIDTA) and started a career in teaching. Lauren has vast experience in teaching students of all ages and abilities. Directing and managing schools and shows.

Qualifications
ISTD Diploma in dance education (ISTD DDE), IDTA Freestyle Associate (AIDTA), Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance, Acrobatic Arts Certified Teacher, Paediatric first aider and DBS checked.

Alice Smith

Miss Alice has been with LB Dance since 2017. One of our first ever students, she works incredibly hard with our students. Gaining her first teaching qualification in 2021 after studying for 2 years. Miss Alice teachers a range of classes in our timetable and keeps the school running smoothly.

Street Dance Associate IDTA, First Aid trained, DBS Checked, Acrobatic Arts.

Natalie Sydney

Specialisations: Classical Ballet, Technical and Free Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Body Conditioning. 

Natalie began dancing at the age of 3 and her love for the performing arts has only continued to grow from that very first class. At the age of 11 she gained a place a Elmhurst Ballet School where she trained under some of most renowned ballet teachers in the country. She then went onto a further 3 years of training at Laine Theatre Arts, receiving a Trinity College Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance and gaining a special award upon graduating for her potential in the field of dance.

After graduating Natalie was lucky enough to gain a contract with Carnival Entertainment as a Production Dancer/Singer, She spent 11 years performing on many cruise ships and in many varieties of shows, which included Broadway and West End Style review shows, various styles of Jazz shows and her personal a favourite Ballet/Contemporary show named Celestial Strings. During her time with Carnival Natalie was promoted to Cast Manager and Dance Captain, which she loved and spent over 4 years in the position. 

Now Natalie has retired from the stage she cannot wait to pass along her passion and knowledge for dance and singing to the new generation of talented young dancers. She firmly believes that anyone can and should dance and it truly is the most magical and rewarding profession to be a part of, whether that be on or off the stage or just for fun. She is looking forward to teaching all of the wonderful students at LB Dance.

Qualifications: ISTD Classical Ballet FDI Units 4 & 5 (Pre Primary to Grade 6), National Diploma in Professional Dance Trinity College London Level 6, RAD Ballet Advanced 2 (Distinction), ISTD Modern Advanced 2 ( Distinction, 96/100), ISTD Tap (Distinction), ISTD Ballet Intermediate (Distinction). CPR trained and DBS checked.
